Consolation Bracket
The consolation bracket games were first on Saturday with the winners of both games securing spots in the March World Cup qualifying tournaments. It was close for a quarter, but Yuliany Paz and Colombia were able to grab their spot comfortably with an 81-53 win over the Dominican Republic. Mexico had the better opening quarter in the next game and nearly pulled off a major upset behind Mariana Valenzuela, but Puerto Rico recovered late and got the 72-67 win.

Semifinals
The two semifinals closed the day as teams chased medals and the automatic spot in the World Cup from the Americas. The first game was an excellent one as each team spent time in the lead in the first three quarters, but the United States finally built up a margin in the fourth quarter to defeat Canada 65-53. Brazil left no doubt that they were on a mission to defend their crown after the second game, rolling past Argentina 108-68 with another impressive effort from Bella Nascimento.
