Iyana Martin and 11 seed Avenida took the lead after halftime and had it hold up for a 71-65 win over Borislava Hristova and Athinaikos. Alexis Peterson and the defending champions Villeneuve-d’Ascq took the lead after halftime, but the 10 seed saw Frieda Buhner and 15 seed Estudiantes edge out a 73-71 win.
