The second day of games was on Sunday with teams either making up their debut or finishing up their group stages. In Group C, Melissa Akullu and Uganda started their tournament well with an 88-51 win. The loss left Guinea in last place with Uganda set to face Senegal for the top spot. Meral Abdelgawad and Egypt finished their group stage with a 70-54 win over Angola so the final placements in Group A are still all up in the air before Angola plays the Ivory Coast. Rwanda finished in last place in Group D after a 72-55 loss to Mozambique, which will face Nigeria for the top spot in the group. The day ended in Group B with Cameroon being the final team to enter the fray, getting a 70-63 win over South Sudan, which finishes in last place. Cameroon and Mali will also close the group stage on Monday when they play for the group lead and the last direct spot in the quarterfinals.
