Both semifinals series started on Thursday with the teams that have been strong in recent years making it to this stage. Girona had the lead early on the road, but Valencia took the lead in the second half, holding on for a 67-66 win and the narrow lead for Sunday. The other series also heads to its second game with not much of a margin for either team. Avenida also got the home win, edging top seed Zaragoza 69-67.
