Group A
The second games in this group were played on Tuesday as Argentina looked to bounce back from an opening loss in the first game of the day. South Sudan trailed halftime, but started their comeback in the second half, taking the lead at times in the fourth quarter. They tied the game with a late three-pointer and then gave one up at the buzzer for the 64-61 Argentina win. It was not exactly pretty, but Brazil led for pretty much the entire game, surviving one run from Lauren Whittaker and New Zealand to get the 56-53. The result leaves the final day in this group pretty clear as the two teams that win the games will advance, including another rivalry game.

The second games in this group were played on Wednesday and there was no suspense in the first matchup after Canada completely dominated the first half in an 85-38 win over the Philippines. The hosts also put the game largely out of reach early, but Cierra Dillard and Senegal did keep it relatively closer before losing 79-65. Those results settled which teams in this group will advance and which teams have nothing to play for on Thursday as Canada and Mexico both qualified for the semifinals.
