The semifinals were on Saturday as the hosts were trying to keep their momentum going with another chance at knocking out a more established team. Gabby Williams and France withstood a few good runs from Germany and maintained their lead, finally making it comfortable in the second half to advance with an 86-64 win. Spain started well in the second game as the United States made several runs before Spain tied the score after three quarters. The United States clamped down in the final frame though and were able to get the 76-66 win.
