Sunday started with the bronze medal game as the hosts were looking to win one more game in front of their fans and avenge a big opening day defeat. Spain was trying to get back to the podium and stood firm even with the crowd trying to help their team rally. Iyana Martin finished a fantastic tournament and led them in the 81-58 win. France had the better start, building a pretty large lead early. The United States got some momentum before halftime to close the gap and then exploded out of the break to get the 97-79 win and defend their crown again. Breanna Stewart led them in scoring to continue her illustrious international career while Dominique Malonga ended up pacing France in their latest runners-up finish with Gabby Williams also delivering an all-around performance.
