The regular season started on Saturday and Villeneuve-d’Ascq won the opening game 70-55 over Toulouse. Hawa Komara and Susie Rafiu made their professional debuts for Landerneau in an 81-67 loss to Bourges. Sarah Cisse started what will be an important season for her with a great effort for Lattes Montpellier in an 83-77 win over Charnay, which got a strong European return from Laura Ziegler. Charleville-Mezieres is focused on an important game midweek and Coline Franchelin’s excellent performance was not enough in a 78-70 loss to Lyon. On Sunday, Angers got a professional debut from Anaelle Dutat, but fell short against Landes 81-76. La Tronche Meylan was hoping that their top division debut would be a good chance for a win, but Assitan Kone and Chartres left with the 74-67 victory instead.
