The regular season started with a busy schedule on Saturday as the league was able to expand further this year. Lublin had already had the chance to get in rhythm last weekend and defeated overmatched Wichos Jelenia Gora 114-60 even though Isidora Tripkovic fired away for the visitors. Deyona Gaston and Sleza Wroclaw had a good start in the league with an 86-53 win over Wisla Krakow. Bochnia was excellent in the second half to get the 69-58 win at Zaglebie Sosnowiec. Jack Animam and Torun had a great late comeback for a 69-62 win over Bydgoszcz as Ta’Mia Scott made her professional debut.
On Sunday, it was Pruszkow making the jump back from the second division. Their return was not favorable as Erika Davenport and Polonia Warszawa getting the 97-76 win. Widzew Lodz had a better first game as the league expanded this season, getting a big game from Cameron Swartz to hold off a late rally and win 76-71. Stephanie Jones led Gorzow, which also handed Elle Ladine her professional debut.
