One series started on Wednesday as Elitzur Ramla will be playing both games of their qualifier in Greece this week. This was Proteas Voulas’s designated home game, but they did not have much success, losing 79-46 as the scores of both games will be combined to determine the team that makes it to the group stage. Georgia Grigoropoulou, Sofia Kelemani, Gemma Nunez, and Mya Perry made their professional debuts in the loss. The rest of the series started on Thursday with both teams getting home games before the scores are combined to determine the overall winner.
Ferrol looked to be cruising early in Stara Zagora, but Beroe suddenly made it a game again by halftime. The visitors built up their advantage again for the 76-61 win led by Maggie Doogan as Sydney Shaw and Nikola Priede also made their professional debuts. Geneve was hoping to get a young group some experience at this level, but Caileigh Walsh’s best efforts were not enough in a 109-75 loss to Saarlouis. Oliana Squires and Emma Eichmeyer led the visitors, which also got a professional debut from Jo Oly. It was a close game heading into the final quarter, but Chartres was able to pull ahead again for an 80-66 win as Chloe Moore-McNeil made her professional debut in the loss for Chomutov. Lani White had a great professional debut for Sesto San Giovanni as they closed the day with a 76-65 win over Estepona.
