Asia Day 2 September 25th

After a day with no games due to a typhoon, action resumed on Thursday with the last two teams making their debuts. Korean champions Busan joined the tournament this year and got good games from Lee So-Hee and Sonia Kim to withstand outstanding efforts from Chennedy Carter and Queen Egbo to get the 91-84 win over Al Ula. That left the Saudi representatives in last place and heading to the consolation game while Busan will face the Red Wave to determine who wins Group B and the placements for the semifinals. In Group A, Han Ya-En and Cathay Life had a strong start to their tournament, but the Ulaanbaatar Amazons raced back to get the 88-82 win with good games from both Amari Robinson and Kayleigh Truong. Cathay Life would need to defeat Guangdong in order to avoid last place.
