Lyon had to withdraw from continental play, but continued to try to make a go of it domestically, losing their opener 69-64 to Mariama Daramy and Charnay, which got a professional debut from Maye Toure. Anna Ngo Ndjock took the lead for Angers in a 72-64 win over Roche. Chartres was only granted a reprieve because Tarbes finally could no longer keep their place in the league and nearly got a big opening win before losing to Bourges 62-58.
