EuroBasket 2025 Day 4

Group A

The first game on Saturday had no bearing on which team would advance to the next round as France faced already eliminated Switzerland having won the group. Both teams just played out the string with Janelle Salaun and France rolling to a 111-37 win. That set the stage for the game that would decide the other team that would advance. Greece had a big home crowd to roar them on early as Artemis Spanou led the way. Turkey got back into the game in the second half and took the lead to get the 83-72 win and advance instead.

Group B

The first game in this group was between the two teams that had already been eliminated. Both teams put on an offensive show early and Jessica Shepard paced Slovenia in an 84-69 win over Angela Dugalic and Serbia. Both teams in the final game had advanced, but they were playing for placement in the bracket. Italy took the lead in the first half, but Lithuania started their run in the second half. Cecilia Zandalasini and the hosts withstood that charge and got the 65-51 victory.
