Asia

Vira Cherkasa had another 20 rebounds on Tuesday as Caspiy finished a sweep of Zhetisu. The other series was on a Thursday-Friday schedule and Ertis split with Okzhetpes. The teams in the second division headed to Atyrau for another pod of games from Thursday through Sunday. Astana’s reserve team still leads while Tomiris still has the top senior team. Anzhelika Ikizhanova had the highest scoring game with 32 points, Liana Dymovckikh had a 20 rebound game, and Karakat Satzhanova recorded a 14 point, 10 rebound, 10 steal triple-double.

Americas

A handful of games were played in Argentina this week ahead of the international break, allowing some teams to finish their regular seasons already. Chanares finished an undefeated run in the North conference. Malvina D’Agostino had a 20 rebound game.

The schedule in Mexico has been adjusted for the rest of the season, but there was just one Saturday-Sunday series this week that saw Dragonas sweep Mieleras.

Sunday was the start of the season in Brazil with two games played. Santo Andre defeated Sao Jose in the opener and then Mesquita won at Maringa.

North West Tasmania

The highlight game of a round played on Thursday saw Sharna Thompson secure a win for Somerset with 55 points as Sarah O’Neill had 32 points for Latrobe. Penguin got 39 points from Ava McDonald and 31 points from Ellie Collins in a win over Wynyard. The other games had Burnie defeating Devonport and Smithton defeating Ulverstone.

Around Europe

The final stage of the Central European league was played this week. The two Czech teams made the final with Ostrava defeating Hradec Kralove and the Slovakian teams played for third place with Ruzomberok defeating Slavia Banska Bystrica. The playoffs continued in the Adriatic with Celje and Partizan maintaining their first game leads to advance. Alexis Mead had 30 points in the unified competition featuring teams from Albania and Kosovo. Kibirkstis defeated Neptunas to win the cup in Lithuania and Siualiai defeated LCC International University for third place. Orlovi defeated Jumper to win the Bosnian cup. Destiny Adams had 32 points in a loss to start the playoffs in Greece. Josefine Haabegaard had 34 points to start the playoffs in Denmark.

Chase for Promotion

Viktoria Shmatova had a 41 point game in Ukraine’s second division. Angela Tompkins had 20 rebounds in Turkey’s second division. In another game, Leilani McIntosh had 32 points in the win while Mary Baskerville had 26 rebounds in the loss. Milica Dimitrijevic and Natasa Bucevac each had 21 rebounds in Serbia’s second division. Laurita Jurciute had a 40 point game in Lithuania’s second division and her teammate Aurelija Jurkiene grabbed 25 rebounds. In Iceland’s second division, Leilani Kapinus had 20 rebounds, Andrea Jovicevic had 36 points, Chloe Wilson had 31 points, and Emese Vida had 21 rebounds. Selma Yesilova had 31 points in Germany’s second division. Julie Tetart had 24 rebounds in an overtime win in France’s second division.

Notable Individual Performances

Carlotta Ellenrieder had 21 rebounds in a game in Switzerland. Tymberlin Criswell had 30 points in North Macedonia. Capria Brown had a 30 point game in Montenegro and her teammate Abigael Mbombo grabbed 34 rebounds. Ksenia Alfiorova had 34 points in Moldova. Caileigh Walsh had 33 points in a loss in Luxembourg and her teammate Esmeralda Skrijelj recorded a 10 point, 17 rebound, 10 assist triple-double. Sarah Puckett had 34 points in Finland. Brooke Flowers had 21 rebounds in Croatia and Ana-Marija Begic had 30 points. Simone Sill had 20 rebounds in Austria.

Olivia Wikstrom had 37 points in Malta and another game saw Lovely Sonnier and Claire Ciantar each score 25 points, more than the 21 points managed by their opponents. In Kosovo, Arbnore Percuku dished out 16 assists and her teammate Enisa Kamerolli’s 26 points was enough to win their game by a point. Dontavia Waggoner had 30 points as a key late-season addition and Miyu Mizukawa recorded a 19 point, 12 assist, 10 steal triple-double. Big statlines in Iceland this week included 31 points from Keishana Washington, 34 points from Kylie Kornegay-Lucas, 33 points from Amandine Toi, and 42 points from Reshawna Stone.
