2026-27 EuroCup Round 1 October 13th-15th

The group stage started this week with the teams divided into twelve groups of four teams each. After the double round-robin, the top two teams in each group will advance automatically along with four third place teams that perform the best over the course of the six games. The teams will be seeded to determine the bracket for the knockout rounds.

Group A

Most of the games during the opening week were on Wednesday, including both games in this group. Brno was one of eight teams to drop down from losing EuroLeague qualifiers and Shay Colley helped them start with a 102-64 win over Cyprus’s AEL Limassol, which was led by JJ Quinerly. Many of Finland’s brightest talents have come through HBA and they were looking for an even higher level of experience for their youngsters this season. It was a young player on the other team who stole the show in this game though as Claire Dalstra led Charnay to the 91-54 win.
