African Zone 6 Qualifiers

Three teams in this zone played a round-robin this weekend in Windhoek, Namibia to sort out priority for spots in the continental champions. Home team UNAM Phoenix played in the opener on Friday, but found themselves losing to Nelma Cunha and surprise Angolan champions Sporting de Luanda 98-52 despite a solid start. Sporting de Luanda just needed a win on Saturday to top the group and took care of business against Bravehearts of Malawi 83-55. That left the other two teams playing for second place on Sunday and Bravehearts led most of the way before needing to fend off the hosts 58-55. No players in the tournament meet our usual roster criteria, so only notable statistical games are shown below.
