The semifinals were on Saturday as the medal round began. The first game was a rematch of Group B’s opener and Araraquara was looking for a much better outcome this time. They had more of the lead in the first half with Maisa Marcal leading the way, but Andrea Daley and Sportiva Italiana played well after halftime. The group winners took the lead halfway through the third quarter and were finally able to build up an advantage, advancing with the 80-73 win. The Bay Area Phoenix looked strong early as they were trying to get back to the championship game. Colegio Los Leones De Quilpue fought back in the second half with the form that had gotten them through group play undefeated as Maca Retamales led them. The Phoenix closed strong though, taking the lead back and getting the 79-72 win.
