Asia Cup 2025 Semifinals

Division A

Saturday started with the 5th place game as the Philippines was trying to prove that they were part of the established group of teams now. They took the lead heading into the final quarter before New Zealand recovered for the 78-71 win. Australia was at full strength in the first semifinal and Cayla George helped them build a lead on their way to an 86-73 win over Heo Ye-Eun and South Korea. The other game was a battle between the largely untested hosts China and a Japan team that had survived unexpectedly tough games. Japan found their shooting rhythm in this game with Kokoro Tanaka leading the way and offset their disadvantage in the paint to win 90-81.
