The round was supposed to start with two games on Friday, but weather postponed one of them. Townsville tried to set the tone early after the upsets of the last round and it was Miela Sowah and Abbey Ellis leading them past Geelong 91-67. Two teams chasing that last playoff spot met in Saturday’s first game and it was Sydney getting the 84-72 win over Nyadiew Puoch and Canberra. Anneli Maley took on a bigger scoring role for Perth in their 80-65 win over Dallas Loughridge and Adelaide. On Sunday, Southside Melbourne was trying to take a full game lead for the final playoff spot, but late efforts from Isabelle Bourne and Maddy Rocci were not enough in a 90-84 loss to Courtney Woods and Townsville. The winner of Tuesday’s game would not make their path to the last playoff spot too insurmountable and it was Adelaide building up a lead by halftime to past Shaneice Swain and Sydney 76-65.
