On Tuesday, Miela Sowah handed her former team their first loss as Townsville defeated Anneli Maley and Perth 79-70. On Thursday, two teams with tough starts were looking for a win and it was Sydney getting past Canberra 73-64. Mackenzie Holmes continued to play well for Geelong, but they lost to Miela Sowah and Townsville 86-61 on Friday. Canberra’s struggles continued on Saturday when they lost to Isobel Borlase and Bendigo 73-71. On Sunday, Serena Sundell and Adelaide built a big lead on their way to an 88-71 win over Sydney. Isabelle Bourne and Southside Melbourne were close to breaking into the top group, but Anneli Maley and Perth came back for the 79-76 win.
