Consistent tournaments in this region have been a challenge as national teams have not always been able to be formed, but five teams headed to Georgetown in Guyana to play a round-robin that would award three automatic spots in Centrobasket next year.

The first game on Wednesday became uncompetitive quickly as Tiffany Reynolds and Jamaica rolled past Suriname 86-47. The hosts played the late game and had a great start with a 102-75 win over the Bahamas after great games from Amisha Ramlall and Ruth Adams. Valerie Nesbitt and Lashann Higgs tried to match them for the visitors, but it was not enough.

The first game on Saturday saw J-Naya Ephraim and the US Virgin Islands grab one of the automatic Centrobasket spots with any easy 93-43 win over Jamaica. Suriname had their tournament end without a win as they gave up more points in the first quarter than they managed during the whole game as Amisha Ramlall and Anaya McDavid led Guyana while Joy Adams had a triple-double in a 106-42 win.

In the first game on Sunday, the Bahamas knew that a win would give them an automatic spot without needing to think about tiebreakers. Lashann Higgs and Valerie Nesbitt led them again, but Anisha George and Imani Tate helped the US Virgin Islands finish a perfect run with a 105-81 win. That meant that Guyana would send themselves and the Bahamas through with a win in the final game and a Jamaica win would put the tiebreakers in play. The hosts made sure that no calculations were needed, grabbing the lead in the second half behind Ruth and Joy Adams for an 83-74 win over Tiffany Reynolds and company.
