Group B

This group finally started play on Wednesday as the three teams will be competing for two spots in the next round after playing their two group games. Mexico nearly made a big breakthrough at the confederation level, but returned to this competition and opened with a 67-48 win over Panama.

Group A

This group continued play with the first game being a matchup of the teams that lost their openers. Ankara Reichle had a big game for Honduras to help them secure a 66-64 win in the second half over Costa Rica. That result enabled El Salvador to seal a spot in the next round and first place after their 82-70 win over Nicaragua with Hillary Martinez leading the way after getting a triple-double.
