Central American Championship 2025 Semifinals

Saturday started with the lone game in the consolation bracket as the losing team would see their tournament end with a seventh place finish. It was a battle of winless teams that Costa Rica led early, but Guatemala did enough over the course of the rest of the game to hang on to a 52-47 win. That set the stage for the semifinals, which would give the winners spots in next year’s Centrobasket tournament. El Salvador returned to the championship game by rolling past Panama 68-43. The last game of the day was even more uncompetitive as Mariana Valenzuela and Mexico jumped out to a lead, leaving Nicaragua too far behind for Kiyomi McMiller’s efforts to get them any closer than 96-50. The bronze medal game will determine the third Centrobasket spot.
