Group A
Brno had loaded up to try to secure EuroLeague qualification, but dropped down to this tournament instead. On Wednesday, they made the trip to Belgium and lost 80-72 as DeYona Gaston was excellent for Braine. The other game in the group was on Thursday with the club known for youth development in Croatia, Tresnjevka, trying to make an impact on a continental level. It was a young star on the other team that made the splash in this game though as Emma Giacchetti was nearly perfect in a 96-44 Magnolia Campobasso win.
