Another series that was already virtually decided had 10 seed Villeneuve-d’Ascq win 83-81 over 26 seed Gernika despite the best efforts of Emily Bessoir, pushing the final margin to 168-143. 11 seed Avenida already had a substantial lead, but went ahead and got the 79-57 victory for a decisive 165-115 final margin over 6 seed Ferrol.
Thursday started in Mersin as Kennedy Burke and top seed Cukurova pushed out their existing lead, winning 84-65 to eliminate 17 seed Kibirkstis 171-132. 2 seed Olympiacos had a small lead heading into their home game and extended it early, but Frieda Buhner and 15 seed Estudiantes surged out of the halftime break and held on to a 72-68 win, enough to advance 157-154. 14 seed Athinaikos built on their existing lead early, withstanding one charge from Sopron to win 71-61 and advance 152-133. 13 seed Lublin maintained their lead, winning 68-59 to eliminate Braine, the lowest remaining seed at 29, 145-126. 12 seed Mechelen did make a move in the second half to get a 59-57 win, but that did not cut into the deficit too much with 5 seed Lattes Montpellier still advancing 137-125.
