EuroLeague 2nd Stage Round 5 January 28th-29th

Group E

There were two games in this group on Wednesday, including a contest that would leave the winner in a qualification spot. USK Prague got that 78-66 victory over Jessica Shepard and Schio, leaving them in great shape heading into the final week of games. Mariam Coulibaly’s return alongside Chloe Bibby was helpful for Girona, which not only qualified for the next round with an 89-58 win over Charleville-Mezieres, but also grabbed a guaranteed spot in the final stage with all possible tiebreakers in their favor. Bourges was hoping to give themselves an advantage with a win on Thursday, but their 82-72 loss sets up one game to determine the last spot in the next round from this group next week. Galatasaray’s victory ensured that they also qualify for the final stage with the top spot in the group still on the line and USK Prague sealed their spot in the next round too.
