EuroLeague Second Round Game 1 December 9th-10th

The second stage of the competition started this week with the remaining twelve teams divided into two groups. Results from the first round carry over as groups from that stage were combined with another group to form these pods. As a result, each team will play a six-game double round-robin against the teams that they did not face previously. The top two teams in each group qualify for the final stage and the next two teams will have to go through one more series to join them.

Group E

All of the games in this group were on Wednesday, starting with defending champions USK Prague improving their chances of advancing by handing Galatasaray their first loss 64-55. That result allowed Girona to move into the top spot after Laeticia Amihere and Mariam Coulibaly led them past Maria Conde and Schio 81-72. Charleville-Mezieres is the team starting this group from a very difficult position, losing to Tima Poyte and fellow French team Bourges 85-57 to stay stranded.

Group F

One game in this group was played on Tuesday as Zaragoza is trying to make it to the final stage this season as they continue to host that tournament. Valencia looked ready to put themselves in strong position for a top two spot early, but Carla Leite led the visitors in the comeback 70-63 win. Fenerbahce is the only remaining undefeated team now after an incredible start at home on Wednesday, coasting past Reyer 96-48 with Iliana Rupert leading the way. DVTK would be stuck in last place even if they could pull out the win, playing Landes close, but still falling 77-71.
