The first round of the cup was played last month, but Wednesday’s second round was the first time that teams from the top division entered the competition so our coverage will pick up there. Teams from the second division are indicated with a (2) next to their name below and players on those teams who meet our criteria have listed stats.
The first two games of the day were between second division teams, starting with Pays Voironnais’s narrow 62-60 win over Montbrison despite the best efforts of Julie Tetart. Aulnoye’s 93-84 win over Eleana Moise and Saint-Amand was next. The earlier league game between the teams was closer, but Sara Scalia helped Lyon race pace Toulouse 82-60 this time. Back to second division teams, La Tronche Meylan made it a perfect day for lower division road teams with their 70-57 win over SIG. The other battle between top division teams had Harmoni Turner leading Landerneau past Roche 71-61. The only game that featured teams from each division saw Mondeville knock out Assitan Kone and Chartres 91-84.
