Bydgoszcz was able to stay in touching distance with the top half of the standings with their 86-73 win over Cate Reese and Zaglebie Sosnowiec on Saturday. The top two teams in the standings met with Stephanie Reid and Gorzow handing Lublin their first loss 91-75. The early game on Sunday had G’mrice Davis leading Sleza Wroclaw again, this time past Polonia Warszawa. Wichos Jelenia Gora was no closer to a first win, but Jastina Kosalewicz and Martyna Kurkowiak did help them crank up the scoring in a 126-92 loss to Anna Jakubiuk, Morgan Jones, Karolina Ulan, and Gdynia. Marta Marcinkowska and Bochnia missed a chance at a big win after Jovana Popovic’s brilliant display allowed Poznan to prevail 94-88. Torun also kept some distance between themselves and the league newcomers with a 73-67 win over Wisla behind Asianae Johnson.
