The finals started on Thursday with quite the intriguing matchup. Zaragoza was the top seed after a season of consistency, keeping the same roster all season long, but not having that full group available now. Valencia had a rotating cast around their core, but pretty much always had twelve established professionals dressing in every game. Zaragoza had the lead after the first quarter, but the visitors built up a big lead by halftime. The hosts chipped into the deficit in the second half, but still lost 81-73 and now face elimination when they head out on the road.
