League play resumed with a full round of games on Saturday, starting with Joventut Badalona helping their cause greatly by stunning Iyana Martin and Avenida 69-67 after a strong second half. Maimouna Haidara and Ensino held their position with a 69-63 win over Leganes. Jairis bounced back from a loss in the cup final with a 75-48 win over Regina Aguilar and Sedis. Ferrol stunned Mariam Coulibaly and Girona 75-67. That result allowed Zaragoza to extend their lead with an 84-59 win at Araski. Sika Kone and Estepona had an incredible fourth quarter to get a 62-53 win over Ibaeta, leaving both teams mostly safe, but with a tough path to the playoffs. Masa Jankovic and Gernika moved into a safe spot, ending Estudiantes’s run with an 85-82 win even though Frieda Buhner had another tremendous game. Djeneba N’Diaye and Gran Canaria continued to play out the string, losing to Hind Ben Abdelkader, Khaalia Hillsman, and Valencia 111-66.
