The season started on Saturday with two games as Besiktas got a fantastic effort from Mariella Fasoula to pull away from Botas in the second half and win 83-65. The league increased the number of foreign players allowed to dress per game so teams like Fenerbahce will not be having to sit so many players for each game as they have in the past as they opened with a 71-53 win. Jayda Curry made her professional debut as Kocaeli started their top-division journey by seeing a lead fade into an 85-79 loss to Yvonne Turner, Morgan Green, and Nesibe Aydin. It was an even rougher start for Canakkale, which lost to Charli Collier and Kayseri 82-53. Galatasaray closed out the weekend with an 80-68 win over Orman.
