There was one game on the Saturday after the international break and Kennedy Burke led Cukurova in an 80-63 win over Kristine Anigwe and Orman. Sunday started with Mariella Fasoula and Besiktas losing 99-70 to Jessica Thomas and their Istanbul neighbors. Kocaeli had no foreign players and ended up not playing any bench players, leaving them with five teenagers who had yet to play in the league this season covering all of the minutes. Seyma Nur Karatana stepped up to lead them in scoring alongside Sinem Danisman while Zeliha Cetinkaya grabbed half of their rebounds, but they could not keep up, losing 144-91. Kiana Williams led Botas as they also got big games from Isik Guven and Rana Ucar. Rennia Davis led Nesibe Aydin in an 81-73 win over Kayseri, which did get a strong debut from Alice Kunek along with a great game from Brooque Williams. The big rivalry game ended the day and Galatasaray’s second half rally fell short despite the best efforts of Kamiah Smalls, letting Iliana Rupert and Fenerbahce leave with the 75-71 win.
