The league in Brazil will take a break before the playoffs so that local and foreign players in the league can represent their national teams at the upcoming AmeriCup. On Sunday, All Star festivities were held before Brazil’s national team hosted Canada’s national team in an exhibition game. Tassia Carcavalli of Corinthians won the Skills Challenge and then Jeanne Morais of Ourinhos won the 3-Point Contest. Mia Hopkins of Cerrado won the 1×1 Tournament before the national team game.
The semifinals in Mexico were played this week in the same format and on the same schedule as the quarterfinals last week. Top seed Chihuahua hosted Cancun and had a first half lead hold up on Tuesday before an easier victory on Wednesday. Aguascalientes also got the home win on Tuesday despite Morgan Green’s 30 point game for Monterrey. Wednesday’s game was closer, but Aguascalientes got 30 points from Feyonda Fitzgerald to complete the sweep and avoid a road trip.

All of the conferences in NBL1 were in action this weekend as Geelong picked up two more wins to stayed undefeated in the South conference. The highest scoring game came from Nyadiew Puoch, who had a 40 point game in a Dandenong Rangers win. There were 35 point games from Tai’Sheka Porchia and Bec Cole, but they came in Bendigo Braves and Waverley Falcons losses.
In the North conference, the Southern Districts Spartans stayed at the top, getting 34 points from Nicole Fransson in a win over the pursuing Mackay Meteorettes. The teams at the bottom of the standings also met and Juna Umazawa had a 38 point game for the Gold Coast Rollers, but they still failed to get their first win against the South West Metro Pirates. Moira Joiner turned in a 31 point effort for the Rockhampton Cyclones.
The Cockburn Cougars picked up a pair of wins to stay undefeated in the West conference, getting 34 points from Sarah Mortensen in the second game. The highest scoring game came from Zitina Aokuso when she poured in 45 points in a narrow Willetton Tigers win.
There is a three-way tie in the loss column at the top of the East conference after the Norths Bears defeated the Newcastle Falcons with the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles joining the group. Nicole Munger had an 18 point, 12 rebound, and 11 assist triple-double in the Falcons loss. Kristina Moore had a 47 point outburst in an Inner West Bulls win. The next two biggest scoring outputs were in the same game as Caitlyn Jones had 40 points in the Albury Wodonga Bandits win while Abi Curtin had 35 points for the Sydney Comets. Jade Kirisome had a 31 point game for the Hills Hornets and Tai Wakelin-Gray grabbed 21 boards in a Central Coast Crusaders loss.
In the Central conference, the Sturt Sabres fell back into a tie with the Forestville Eagles and West Adelaide Bearcats after Ke’Shunan James torched them for 40 points in a in a Norwood Flames win. Iva Belosevic had a 32 point game for the Southern Tigers on the previous day.
In the middle division of Big V, the Craigieburn Eagles lost their first game of the season, falling to the Black Angels of Melbourne University. Asia Avinger delivered the weekend’s standout performance with a 36 point, 10 rebound, 10 assist triple-double for the Mildura Heat. In the bottom division, the Keysborough Cougars maintained their lead despite Ai Yamada’s 30 point effort for the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology Redbacks. The Wallan Panthers had a pair of tough losses despite getting 31 points from Ranika Guyton and 21 rebounds from Emmie Gardner in the first game.
