Americas

The first teams finished their regular seasons in Argentina as only one week of games remains. Stefania Lucero completed an impressive scoring campaign with a 31 point effort on Monday.

The playoffs continued in Chile as the other series was played in the South. It took a deciding game on Sunday, but Escuela Alemania Paillaco got the win over the Austral University of Chile. Sportiva Italiana swept Gimnastico in the other zone, getting 33 points from Kaye Clark in the opener. The other series went to a deciding game with Dorie Harrison scoring 35 points and Manuela Rios recording a 13 point, 12 rebound, 12 assist triple-double to send Puento Alto through even though Kyaja Williams had an 18 point, 11 rebound, 10 steal triple-double for Colegio Los Leones de Quilpe.

Asia

Team illness forced the Red Wave to forfeit both games against the Antelopes, but the other series in Japan went ahead on a Saturday-Sunday schedule. The Wings got a split against the Iris, but the Sunflowers swept the Vickies and the Sunshine Rabbits swept the Magic. The top two teams in the lower group met with the Cougars sweeping the Queen Bees. The two newest teams to the league also faced off with the Aranmare getting a sweep. The Koalas got 35 points from Cyesha Goree to finish a sweep of the Rabbits.

The week in Kazakhstan started with Ertis sweeping Atyrau in a Tuesday-Wednesday series. Turan swept Caspiy in a Friday-Saturday series and then Astana swept Zhetisu in a Saturday-Sunday series. The first pod in the second division finished with the reserve teams of Zhetisu and Astana remaining undefeated while Aqtobe and the league newcomers are still winless.

It was the first full week of games in South Korea with a slight tweak to the schedule from previous seasons. The Stars welcomed their star back on Wednesday with a win over the Blue Minx. Thursdays are now also without games like Tuesdays so the next contest was on Friday with the S-Birds defeating Hana Bank. The new Saturday doubleheader had the Blue Minx defeating Woori Bank and the Stars defeating BNK. Woori Bank got the win over the S-Birds on Sunday. The program with Japanese players joining teams continued this season and Saki Iijima had 34 points on Monday to lead Hana Bank to a win over the Blue Minx.

New Zealand

The round started on Thursday with a brilliant day from Lil Dart. She scored 36 points in the main game to get the Hoiho the win after scoring 10 points in a reserve game loss, playing nearly 44 minutes on the night. The Kahu swept both games against the Whai on Friday. The round finished up on Sunday with the Whai losing both games again, this time against the Queens.

Around Europe

Diana Bondaryuk grabbed 21 rebounds in Ukraine. In Sweden, Julianna Okosun had 25 rebounds and Hannah Little had 21 rebounds. Mari Stewart had 30 points in Norway. Liselot Kulk had 40 points in the Netherlands. A showdown in Kosovo had Lauren Carter deliver 34 points and Ky’Leo Worriels grab 22 rebounds in the win while Audrey Jennings had 34 points in the loss and Dejah Terrell had 33 points in a different game. Krystal Freeman had 30 points in Iceland. Eleanna Christinaki had 33 points in Greece. Lashae Dwyer had 32 points in Germany. Dajah Daniel had 31 points in Cyprus. Lana Packovski recorded 10 steals in Croatia. Jovana Milakovic grabbed 20 rebounds in the Bosnian league. Franca Rodhammer had 31 points in an overtime loss in Austria.

Chase for Promotion

In Turkey’s second division, Mary Baskerville had 25 rebounds and Dre’Una Edwards had 23 rebounds. Mareme Diop had 20 rebounds in Spain’s third division. Natasa Bucevac had 33 points in Serbia’s second division.
