Asia

There were two series in Kazakhstan this week on a Wednesday-Thursday schedule as Ertis climbed above Barsy Atyrau after sweeping them. Caspiy withstood 30 points from Milana Alyoshkova to win the first game, but Turan did earn the split.

This was a full week in South Korea, starting with Hana Bank’s win over BNK on Wednesday. Kang Lee-Seul had 32 points in a Stars win over the S-Birds on Friday. The Saturday doubleheader started with BNK’s win over the Blue Minx and then Hana Bank continued to lead the field after a win over Woori Bank. The S-Birds are still very much stuck in last place, but Mimi Louis had 36 points on Sunday to secure a double-overtime win. The Blue Minx defeated the Stars on Monday.

The big news in China this week is Guangdong losing two more times to sit in danger of losing their firm grip on the top seed. Kaela Davis poured in 51 points to secure a win, but they lost their next game as Chennedy Carter’s week included 36 and 32 point games. Kalani Brown had a 35 point game and Natasha Howard had a 33 point game.

It was another weekend of games in Taiwan as Cathay Life continued their undefeated start on Thursday only to lose on both Saturday and Sunday, including giving up 30 points to Emily Maupin. Taipower and Taiyuan Textile were able to finish with 2-1 records in this pod to sit behind the leaders while Chunghwa Telecom could only manage one win and sit in last place.

Kahlaijah Dean’s 34 point effort highlighted a week of games in Lebanon.

Argentina

It was the first full week of the new season in Argentina with all teams playing at least one game now. Nobody surpassed Berenice Lopez’s 30 point effort from opening day, but Agustina Marin did grab 20 rebounds in an overtime win.

Around Europe

The unified competition between teams from Albania and Kosovo continued with Paige Powell scoring 32 points in a win. In Kosovo’s domestic league, Isabella Mauricio had 31 points and Kaye Clark had 32 points. Laura Liisa Grunmann had 35 points in a loss in the Baltic.

Chase for Promotion

Anastasiia Borovska had 30 points in Ukraine’s second division. There were some big games in Turkey’s second division, including Dre’Una Edwards providing the leaders with 44 points and 20 rebounds to cancel out a 31 point game from Miya Crump. Iggy Allen had 34 points and Liatu King had 32 points in an overtime loss. Lena Bokun had 30 points in a wild win in Serbia’s second division that included a 46 point, 20 rebound performance from Natasa Bucevac in the loss. Sienna Durr had 30 points in Portugal’s second division and Maria Gomes had 20 rebounds. In Iceland’s second division, Emese Vida grabbed 21 rebounds and Caely Kesten had 30 points. Andrea Jovicevic had 33 points in a win where Leilani Kapinus had 36 points and 22 rebounds for the opposition. Julie Tetart had 32 points and 25 rebounds in France’s second division.

Notable Individual Performances

Annika Soltau had 35 points in Switzerland and Frida Formann had 30 points. Tiffany Brown had a 32 point game in Sweden. In Serbia, Makinna Serrata had 33 points and Jovana Popovic had 34 points. Bella Nascimento had 30 points in a loss in Portugal. Ahlise Hurst had 34 points in the Netherlands. Adryana Quezada had a 31 point game in an overtime win in Luxembourg. In Israel, Victoria Vivians had 35 points and Destiny Littleton had 32 points. In Iceland, Ruth Sherrill had 20 rebounds and Jada Guinn had 32 points. Ellen Nystrom had 30 points in a game where her teammate Abby Beeman recorded a 25 point, 10 rebound, 12 assist triple-double. Dragana Domuzin had a 22 point, 11 rebound, 11 assist triple-double in Croatia. The Bosnian league featured a 29 rebound game from Jovana Milakovic and 16 assists from her teammate Miljana Dzombeta while Natasa Sobot had 32 points. Da’Nasia Hood had 31 points in Belgium.
