It was the last week of the regular season in Brazil with two games on Wednesday. First, Cerrado won easily at Salvador and then Campinas defeated Mesquita. Sampaio had an easy win over Sao Jose in Thursday’s first game and then Santo Andre looked strong in a win over Araraquara, although neither team had their seeding affected.
Home teams were mostly looking to advance to the semifinals in Chile this weekend as the quarterfinals continued and Saturday’s games all led to that result, including an easy win for top seed Colegio Los Leones de Quilpe. Chyna Cornwell had 22 rebounds to help Sportiva Italiana record a close win. Yenicel Vivanco had 31 points to lead the University of Concepcion to the next round. There will be one deciding game after Friday’s overtime thriller as Gimnastico just avoided elimination after getting 39 points from Alexis Poole after 30 points from Agustina Garcia was not enough for Puente Alto.
Lebanon
Teams brought in foreign players for the postseason as the semifinals started this week. Both series ended in sweeps as Riyadi closed out Azour with a close win while Homenetmen more decisively put away Beirut.

All of the conferences of NBL1 were in action this week, including a full round in the South that featured a double-overtime game where Lara Edmanson grabbed 21 rebounds in the win for the Mt. Gambier Pioneers. Camille Hobby had a 30 point game for the Ballarat Miners. Marena Whittle had a 23 point, 14 rebound, 12 assist triple-double to secure a win for the Dandenong Rangers as Abbey Ellis had 33 points on the other side for the Diamond Valley Eagles. Hannah Hank had 30 points for the Bendigo Braves as her teammate Kelly Wilson dished out 15 assists.
The highest scoring game in the North conference was from River Baldwin as she had 32 points for the Mackay Meteorettes. Antoniette Emma-Nnopu had 30 points in a North Gold Coast Seahawks win as Courtney Woods had 31 points in the loss for the Townsville Flames. Triple-doubles were the story as Mia Loyd had a 17 point, 14 rebound, 12 assist game and Erin Bollmann had a 21 point, 13 rebound, 10 assist game.
Esmerald Morales had 31 points for the Lakeside Lightning in a West conference win as Emma Calvert had 33 points and Nija Collier had 24 rebounds for the Willetton Tigers. They found themselves on the other end of the result the next day as Sam Ashby had 32 points for the Perth Redbacks. Makenna Marisa had the highest scoring game with 35 points in a Perry Lakes Hawks loss.
A wild overtime game in the East conference had Lauren Nicholson scoring 38 points in the Sutherland Sharks loss. Shyla Heal had 34 points in a Bankstown Bruins win as Nicole Munger had for the Newcastle Falcons in the loss. Talya Brugler had 32 points as the Norths Bears rolled to a win. Last-Tear Poa made her debut for the Albury Wodonga Bandits and closed the weekend with a 14 point, 11 rebound, 10 assist triple-double with her teammates having big games as Unique Thompson had 38 points and Emily Lytle had 30 points. Kasey Neubert had 22 rebounds in a Maitland Mustangs win as Taylah Levy poured in 38 points for the Inner West Bulls.
Ally Becki recorded a 11 point, 11 rebound, 10 assist triple-double in the Central conference as the Norwood Flames got the win. The highest scoring game of that Saturday came from Morgan Yaeger, who had 30 points in an easy West Adelaide Bearcats win.
The big statlines in Big V were in the middle division as Maleia Bracone had a 33 point game for the Mildura Heat and Lana Hollingsworth had a 30 point game for the Melbourne University Black Angels.
It was a full week of games on Tuesday in North West Tasmania as Burnie won at Devonport. Sharna Thompson had 43 points for Somerset and Parker Hill had 27 rebounds in their win over Latrobe, which got 34 points from Sarah O’Neill. Ava McDonald also reached the 43 point mark, but Penguin had a narrow loss to Wynyard as Kiara Stewart grabbed 20 rebounds. Rhonda Price was the leading rebounder with 23 boards, but Smithton lost to Ulverstone in overtime.
